Among the social issues, the transition to Estonian-language instruction and the difficulties associated with it are at the forefront, highlighting the role of internal drive and incentives in language acquisition. Strong opposition is also expressed to retaining the voting rights of citizens of the aggressor state in local elections. Furthermore, topics concerning identity and integration related to speaking Estonian with an accent are addressed.

The government’s policy direction to restructure the school network and reduce child benefits is being criticized. This, combined with the car tax, increases social inequality and forces families to leave Estonia.
