Economic perspectives center on the sustainability of social services funding and the reliance on European Union funds. There is an emphasis on the need to compensate for the decrease in EU funding using state budgetary resources, specifically by allocating 1.2 million euros toward family-based alternative care. Support is also given to utilizing the state budget for the preparation of materials, training initiatives, and IT solutions.

It supports targeted social spending but stresses the necessity of taking into account the state's financial capacity and the limit of taxpayer tolerance (referencing the recent changes to family benefits). It is noted that Estonia ranks among the top OECD countries when it comes to financially supporting families. The need to develop a package of support measures to help people with disabilities adapt to the tax changes is also mentioned.
