Economic views are fiercely critical of subsidies and state spending, particularly concerning the development of offshore wind farms, which are many times more expensive. The speaker stresses that these investments (billions of euros) will lead to astronomical fixed charges for consumers, and that the profits will simply move from the pockets of Estonians into someone else's. The preference is for more cost-effective solutions, such as onshore wind farms, and there is a demand for fiscal discipline.

Economic views are strongly opposed to tax hikes, especially during an economic downturn ("in a difficult economic situation"). The speaker supports the previous linear income tax exemption, viewing it as a measure that enhances economic competitiveness.
