Fifteenth Riigikogu, fourth session, plenary session
Economic priorities center on strengthening the European Union's single market and cutting red tape to alleviate the burden on businesses and the public sector. Support is provided for protecting the competitiveness of European industry—for instance, through tariffs on Chinese cars—to combat unfair competition (including intellectual property theft, forced labor, and the failure to meet environmental standards). It is stressed that the Estonian people have never lived as well or as safely as they do now, thanks to the EU single market.
