The stance toward the opposition (EKRE, Isamaa, the Centre Party, collectively branded as "EKREIKE") is extremely critical and hostile. They are accused of covering up corruption scandals and engaging in political theater, as well as being "against everything and everyone." The political grievances are aimed at their resistance to all forms of development and investment (wind turbines, a nuclear power plant, tram lines), which is dismissed as politically easy and convenient grumbling.
