It combines narrative with facts and figures, adds doses of popular language, and employs the trope of "the people decide" (referendum). During peak moments, it uses direct appeals and the nuance of personal experience (with examples from Ida-Virumaa, Saaremaa). Formal, but often lyrical and with a polemical tone.

The emphasis is on a critical, sometimes polemical tone. Questions, divisive comparisons, and numerical argumentation are frequently used; the style combines formal rhetoric stemming from a position of leadership with emotional nuances (for example, concern over demographics and the cost of living). Advantages/reservations are presented clearly, and criticism often arises from personal opposition to the coalition or ministers. Sharpness and irony are sometimes employed ("this is a total mess," "deception and the intricacies of governance"), but at the same time, there is an emphasis on cooperation and pragmatism (recesses, submitting various inquiries).
