The legislative focus centers on clarifying the government’s strategic decisions, particularly concerning if and when the oil shale power plants are scheduled for closure. The speaker stresses the necessity of keeping these plants operational as a reserve until alternative options become available.

The primary focus is supporting the amendments to the Motor Vehicle Tax Act (the EMA Act), which addresses the streamlining of vehicle lifecycles and registers. This effort supports a draft law that would exempt vehicles temporarily removed from the register from taxation.

The legislative focus is on eliminating and rectifying shortcomings that exist prior to the implementation of the motor vehicle tax, a measure supported by the Social Democrats. The goal is to ensure that vehicles temporarily removed from the register are exempt from the annual tax, to improve the procedure for deleting scrapped vehicles from the register, and to lower the age limit for vintage vehicles to 30 years.

The legislative priority is reforming excise policy, particularly abolishing the method of differentiating excise duties between light and strong alcohol. It supports the partial cancellation of planned excise duty increases in the interest of economic sensibility. It emphasizes the need to legislatively address restrictions on alcohol availability and advertising.
