In social matters, the economic policy focuses on its effect on vulnerable groups, such as the poor, pensioners, and people with disabilities. It sharply criticizes the symbolic rise in benefits (9 cents) given a situation where tax hikes are hitting these groups particularly hard. Furthermore, it defends the funding of the social sector (pensions, child benefits) against budget cuts.

Among social issues, the protection of people with disabilities and large families is at the forefront—groups that the state is constitutionally obliged to specially safeguard. The coalition is being criticized because the car tax hits these groups particularly hard, while the promised increase in benefits doesn't even cover a fraction of the damage inflicted.

The indexing of pensions is addressed among social issues, a topic directly related to the financial well-being of the elderly and the national social security system. This is the main socio-political topic around which the political debate revolves.
