The opposition is directed at government policies concerning cuts in higher education funding and the inadequate distribution of regional investment (40% allocated to rural areas). Criticism is also aimed at draft legislation that could violate international conventions (such as border closures that separate families) or whose underlying analysis is insufficient (for example, the lack of analysis regarding the activities of those crossing the border). The criticism is based on policy and procedure.

The criticism targets political maneuvering in local municipalities and government decisions that are not based on sufficient research or that infringe upon fundamental rights (e.g., PPA checks). He/She criticized the Isamaa faction's proposals to repeal the motor vehicle tax, stressing that the tax has already been factored into the government's action plan and the state budget.
