Emphasis is placed on the need to expand access to higher education for every young person, regardless of their background. The growing trend of participation in adult education is also welcomed.

The speaker highlights the question of gender balance, noting that the ERR council is "very masculine," and stressing that balanced governing bodies, comprising both men and women, make more balanced and better decisions.
