The social focus is on the quality and identity of the living environment, noting that three out of four people in Estonia are satisfied with their surroundings. It is emphasized that nature conservation is strongly linked to Estonian identity and that actions must ensure the same high quality of life for children (clean air, clean drinking water) as they enjoy now.

The primary social theme is the appreciation of nature, which, alongside freedom, ranks highest among the values held by Estonians, regardless of where they live. Emphasis is placed on the need to avoid polarization between rural and urban residents and to protect the national animal (the wolf) from being treated as an object of public hostility.

Regarding social issues, the health of Ida-Viru County residents and the environmental impact related to historical oil shale electricity production are addressed. The speaker emphasizes that the future direction must be cleaner in order to protect the local population.
