The focus is heavily on national macroeconomics and international comparisons (OECD, EU, the Baltic States, Finland) to assess Estonia's position. Particular emphasis is placed on how Latvia and Lithuania have either surpassed Estonia in terms of productivity and GDP or are rapidly catching up. Specific local or regional issues are not addressed.

The focus is on national economic and social problems (Estonian productivity, unemployment, immigration). The seriousness of these problems is emphasized through international comparison, highlighting that immigration is several times greater than in Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland. OECD data is also used to compare Estonian productivity with other European countries (Romania, Bulgaria, Greece).
