Economic perspectives strongly favor growth and competitiveness, stressing the necessity of investing in research and development (R&D) and securing a competitive energy price. Immigration is viewed as a tool for mitigating the shortage of skilled labor and stimulating the economy, especially since Estonia’s former advantages (cheap labor, raw materials) have vanished. There is support for large investment subsidies and a quota system tailored to the needs of businesses.
