Strong opposition has been leveled against the Reform Party concerning the withdrawal of structural funds from hospital and railway construction projects, with opponents labeling the decisions as "malicious." The Prime Minister is also being criticized for denigrating other political parties and for the government’s failure to act on creating a unified energy plan. The criticism is primarily policy- and procedure-based, rather than personal.

Criticism is primarily directed at political decisions and systems, particularly the government’s energy policy and the abnormal operating logic of the Nord Pool exchange, which creates uncertainty for businesses. Doubt is also expressed regarding the Finance Minister’s assertion that the new tax is an environmental sustainability tax, and clarification of this claim is being demanded.
