The legislative focus is on supporting accession to the Optional Protocol to the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women. This is a priority intended to provide Estonian women with an additional international legal protection mechanism. Furthermore, support is being given to an amendment that grants the UN committee greater flexibility to organize its work more quickly and efficiently.
