The main legislative priority is amending the Foreign Relations Act, the purpose of which is to coordinate external communication and create the prerequisites for closer trade and economic cooperation with territorial governments (e.g., Taiwan). It supports the government’s proposal that the denunciation of international treaties should take place in the Riigikogu (Parliament) upon the proposal of the Government of the Republic, thereby protecting the principle of the separation of powers. Furthermore, it is addressing changes to the composition of Riigikogu delegations.

The primary legislative priorities focus on strengthening foreign and security policy. He/She is an active proponent and rapporteur for amendments to the Foreign Service Act and changes to the International Sanctions Act (specifically, the utilization of frozen Russian assets). Furthermore, on behalf of 54 Riigikogu members, he/she has initiated a declaration recognizing the deportation of Crimean Tatars as genocide.
