The focus areas include: inquiries (energy, social affairs, nursing homes, youth issues, e-elections), the processing of draft legislation and amendments (such as changes to the Law of Obligations Act, matters related to car tax and VAT, and the regulation of end-of-life declarations), and ad hoc committees; the submission of initiatives (a referendum on the oil shale issue, suspension of e-voting); and cooperation with state institutions and international partners. Indicators of progress include the successful handling of inquiries and requests for the formation of committees; however, there has been criticism regarding insufficient detailed analysis and a lack of transparency.

The main emphasis is placed on interpellations to ministers, the initiation and handling of draft legislation, and increasing the transparency of the Riigikogu’s operational procedures. Speakers are discussing the bank tax, the car tax, VAT, social welfare, and Riigikogu expense compensations, while simultaneously calling for transparency, inclusion, and consensus. A vigorous debate on taxation is evident, particularly regarding the 2024–2024 period, and there is a strong emphasis on the necessity for detailed and immediate parliamentary oversight (including audits and explanatory memoranda). Rail Baltic and Georgia are also topics of discussion, but they are frequently framed as elements within the broader discourse concerning the development of democratic and defense mechanisms and parliamentary control.
