The legislative focus has been on restricting the voting rights of Russian citizens in local elections (a proposed bill), the denunciation of the Ottawa Convention, and the rapid adjustment of allowance rates for conscripts and reservists. As Deputy Chairman of the National Defence Committee, the speaker focused on compelling the executive branch to perform its duties and processing technically complex draft legislation (such as the indexing coefficient).
