The political focus is strongly directed toward international security, particularly the strategic analysis of the war in Ukraine and the role of the allies. There is a strong emphasis on the urgent need for a total overhaul of Ukraine’s mobilization and training system in order to achieve victory. Furthermore, the topic of national memory and historical justice is raised, posing the question of how the state should commemorate Estonians who fought against the Red Army. These positions are value-based and strategically demanding.

The political focus is on national defense and its funding. He/She criticizes previous policy ("affordable national defense") as an inadequate response to the threat assessment and the cause of a ten-year shortfall. He/She strongly supports the current expenditures, viewing them as unavoidable and long-term, necessary as long as the confrontation with Russia continues. The political framework is heavily security- and results-based.
